I can't recall what cables I exactly connected, as I remember the manual not being too specific about that, but I do know I've connected mine directly to my motherboard, using a splitter so the same header would control my GPU bracket too. I already told him to leave that for now and that I would personally take a look at it when I am able to, as I have no clue exactly how I did mine aswell.
